Best Practices for Card Acceptance: Always Insert or Swipe Cards

If the payment card is available, always insert the chip or swipe the mag-stripe card through the reader. A transaction completed with an inserted or swiped and signed payment has a higher chance of winning a chargeback dispute than if the card information has been keyed in.
