Dejavoo: How to Set Up My Dejavoo Z8 For The First Time

If you just received your Dejavoo Z8 or Z11, follow the below guide for a quick set up process.

The Contents

Inside of the box you will find your terminal, power cord, and phone line (if applicable).

The Power

First, plug the power cable into your terminal to power on the Dejavoo.

The Connection

ETH Connection: Plug the CAT 5 cord into the back of the terminal where it says LAN (the cord will go in vertically). Then plug the other end directly into your modem or router.

 

Dial Connection: Plug the phone line into the port on the back of the terminal where the phone picture is displayed. Please be sure to have the terminal set up with it’s own dedicated phone line.

 

Wifi Connection: Make sure the power cable is plugged in.

The Set-Up

Verify the Date and Time on the terminal is correct. The time will be in military time (see chart below). If you need assistance in updating the time on the terminal please go here.

 

Go here to set up the ETH connection.

 

Go here to connect to your Wifi Network.

 

For Dial, please make sure the cord is secure.

The First Transaction

Once the terminal is connected you are ready to run your first transaction!

  1. For Credit Transactions: Tap on Credit > Tap on Sale > Enter Amount 
    For Debit Transactions: Tap on Debit > Tap on Sale > Enter Amount
  2. Insert chip card. If prompted, confirm the sale amount by tapping YES or NO.
  3. The terminal then communicates with the host.
  4. If the transaction is successful, the receipt prints.

Adding the tip (if applicable)

  1. From the Credit, Sale, Enter Amount screen, select F3.
  2. Select Edit All Trans#.
  3. Follow the prompts to add the tip.

Adding the tip prompt to your Favorites Menu (if applicable)

  1. From the Credit, Sale, Enter Amount screen select the Green button.
  2. Select Utility.
  3. Select Favorites.
  4. Select Reset.
  5. Hit the Red X until you’re back to the main screen.
  6. Select the F3 button and you will now see the Edit All Trans# option.
