Developers : Using Zapier to Trigger Events in Omni

Zapier is an application that is used to connect apps into customized workflows for your business. Anytime you want a specific action to take place between Omni and another application, you can use a Zap to accomplish the action.


Below are the steps for using Zapier when an event occurs in another platform and you need that event to trigger something happening in Omni. 

Example: You add a customer to a Google Spreadsheet, and you want that customer information to be sent to your Omni account. 


  1. Navigate to Zapier
  2. Start a Zap
  3. Choose your Trigger
  4. Choose Account
  5. Edit Options
  6. Test the Zap
  7. Set up your Action
  8. Choose the Zapier Webhooks Action
  9. Edit your Template
  10. Navigate to
  11. Select Apps
  12. Select API Keys
  13. Select Launch
  14. Select +New Key
  15. Edit the name of the API Key (if needed) 
  16. Select Save
  17. Select Reveal
  18. Paste API Key into the Authorization header
  19. Test the Zap
  20. Name your Zap and turn it on
