Developers : Using Zapier to Trigger Events in other Applications

Zapier is an application that is used to connect apps into customized workflows for your business. Anytime you want a specific action to take place between Omni and another application, you can use a Zap to accomplish the action.


Below are the steps for using Zapier when an event occurs in Omni and you need that event to trigger something happening in another platform.

Example: You process a transaction in Omni, and you want to add information from that transaction (customer name, email, total amount paid) into a Google Spreadsheet. 


  1. Navigate to
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Webhooks
  4. Select the Event
  5. Enter your target URL from Zapier
  6. Select Save

  7. Navigate to Zapier
  8. Start a Zap
  9. Select Webhooks by Zapier
  10. Choose your Trigger

  11. Test the Step
  12. Choose an Action

  16. Name your Zap and turn it on
