The Stax Dispute Manager feature can notify you of chargebacks faster so you can resolve them quickly.
What is a Chargeback?
A chargeback happens when a cardholder disputes a transaction with their card issuer. When your business receives a chargeback from a customer, the credit card processor has up to seven days to notify you. By the time you receive the notice, it is often too late. You can read more in-depth articles on chargebacks and how to respond to them on the Knowledge Base.
What Does the Dispute Manager Do?
So that you know, you will be notified of the chargeback to your business the same day it is claimed via email. You can view case details from the Dispute Manager tool and respond. This gives you a better chance of fighting a chargeback.
A merchant needs to respond sooner rather than later to give the bank time to review your rebuttal. We strongly recommend you respond by the “respond by” date listed on the notice. This is usually seven days from when the chargeback was reported to the processor.
With Dispute Manager, you can quickly gather the evidence you need to resolve the chargeback. Dispute Manager is a great tool to resolve chargebacks quicker. You can upload response documents directly to the portal. This makes the response time much faster than faxing or mailing them.
