Omni Virtual Terminal : Customer Management Overview

The Omni Virtual Terminal has the ability to store full customer profiles for your business. 

 

There are 2 ways for you to create a profile for your customer: 

  1. Create the customer profile while processing a transaction
  2. Create the customer profile without processing a transaction

 

Create the customer profile while processing a transaction

Every time you process either an Advanced Payment or Quick Payment, the customer information will be stored. 

 

When processing a Quick Payment, the information that will be stored is:

 

  • Customer Name
  • Cardholder Name (if different than the Customer Name)
  • Card Number

 

 

 

When processing an Advanced Payment, you have 2 options: 

 

  1. Create a New profile
  2. Skip building a profile 
    1. If you select to skip building a profile, the cardholder name and card number will still be stored

 

To create a new profile when processing an Advanced Payment: 

 

  1. Select Advanced Payment
  2. Enter your payment details
  3. Select Continue (if you select Save, your sale will be stored as a draft in your Invoices tab)
  4. Select +New 
  5. Enter your Customer Information
  6. Select Save
  7. Review your payment
  8. Select Charge

 

Your customer profile will now be stored.

 

 

 

Create the customer profile without processing a transaction

  1. Select Customers from the main toolbar
  2. Select +New
  3. Enter your customer details (only the first and last names are required. email address is strongly recommended)
  4. Select Save
