Omni Virtual Terminal : Team Settings

 

Administrators in the Omni Virtual Terminal can assign roles and permissions to their users within team settings. Each role has its owned assigned list of permissions which are pre-selected. 

 

Roles include:

  1. Team Admin
  2. Full Access
  3. Staff
  4. Sales Staff
  5. Reporting
  6. Sales Only
  7. Sales With Refunds

 

To add a new user: 

  1. Select Settings
  2. Select Team Settings
  3. Select +New
  4. Enter the information for the new team member
  5. Select their role from the dropdown
  6. Select Save

 

To view/edit users:

  1. Select Settings
  2. Select Team Settings
  3. Search for the user with the keyword box
  4. Select their name
  5. Make any edits if needed (you can select a new role from the dropdown)
  6. Select Save

 

Below is a description and table of permissions that each role has access to:

Team Admin: The team admin role grants full-access to the entire platform, giving these users the ability to change roles for each team member and manage company information, like branding, editing. Additionally, only these users have the ability to manage website payment links and integrations with apps like QuickBooks Online.

Full-Access: Full access users have nearly all of the same functionality as the team admin, but with restricted access to managing the team, company information and integrations.

Staff: The staff role allows users to run charges and refunds/voids, view and search activity, invoices, customers and catalog items, but limits their access to proprietary dashboard activity, like total sales YTD or sales by month.

Sales Staff: The sales staff role allows users to run charges, view and search activity, invoices, customers and catalog items, but limits their access to proprietary dashboard activity, like total sales YTD or sales by month, and does not allow them to process voids/refunds.

Reporting: Perfect for sharing with your accountant or bookkeeper, the reporting role provides a way to share important financial data.

Sales Only: The sales only role allows users to run transactions, view/edit customers, and add new payment methods; however, these users are not able to run refunds/voids.

Sales With Refund: The sales with refund role allows users to run transactions, including voids and refunds, view/edit customers, and add new payment methods.
